BLACKLIST: BE UNSTOPPABLE FILM PROJECT

Helping New Voices to Be Unstoppable

There are great stories waiting to be told everywhere, especially those by emerging filmmakers from underrepresented communities. UPS and the Black List believe all voices should be heard, so we’re partnering to give two emerging creators $100,000 each in production grants to make a short film based on their feature film screenplay for the Be Unstoppable™ Film Project.

We'll provide two emerging filmmakers with the resources, time, and expertise necessary to make and showcase a short film that will aim to have a successful film festival run and compete for awards consideration in 2023–with international film festivals like Cannes, Venice, and Toronto as major targets. UPS and The Black List will invite a diverse jury of established filmmakers to judge the shortlist and select the final two filmmakers to participate in this program. Jury members will be announced throughout Summer/Fall 2022.

Interested filmmakers can submit their scripts to blcklst.com from June 13, 2022 to September 18, 2022. The Black List recommends, but does not require, that all interested filmmakers purchase an evaluation by August 18, 2022.
